"Curses, meteors, gnarls...everything that can go wrong has gone wrong. Now it can only get better!" - Elena Brooker, Laundry Girl and Eternal Optimist
[edit] Description
Human history is one shrouded in mist and doubt. That's fine with them, though, as there's not a race on the planet that's more industrious and forward looking. In their short time on this planet, humans have carved out lives for themselves fishing beautiful lakes, farming fertile soil, and hunting the bounties of the plains. If the lake spouts electrified flying fish, the soil grows cursed crops, or the bounties of the plains start hunting them back, why, that's just what it is to be human. Humans will fight their way through, like they always have.
That's not to say that humans are all just battle hardened survivors. Humans are a race of incredible diversity, with a mix of attitudes, physical features, talents, and abilities. One human might spend his days churning out fine furniture for sale at the local market, while another might turn his attention skyward, learning the mysteries of the meteors that orbit the world. One thing you can safely say about humans: to know one is not to know them all.

[edit] Quests & Minigames
Many young humans take up the life of exploration and adventure, and they don't have to travel far to find it. The fish meteor Calagat'cha crashed into the lake outside the town of Shoal, and the fishing's just never been the same; because the fish fly out of the water and electrify anyone who tries to fish them.
Just outside town, the scenic beauty of the Rustwood belies the dangers of hungry rat-men and restless skeletons. And to the south, drums pierce the peaceful skies of Caprina Vale, as clans of gnarl warriors move from the highlands, intent on wresting lands from the friendly fauns who call the valley home. Humanity needs heroes, but who will answer the call?
[edit] Extra
From the journal of Keven, Psion of Caprina Vale.
"I heard a sound behind me as I sat on the edge of Caldera Lake for my morning meditations. It was a gnarl skulker, and it meant to take me unaware. I did not wish him harm, but the dog man leapt, knife in hand, to cut my throat. I focused my attention on him. Imagine his surprise when his leap lifted him up, over my head, and into the lake. It's as my master says: the powers of the mind are truly uplifting."
